THE EAGLES are to land in Scotland for a fantastic Independence Day gig.

We can reveal the US legends will play a one-off show at Hampden Park on July 4.

The gig will be their only outdoor UK show on the Long Road Out Of Eden world tour.

And the gig is set to last a hit-packed three hours and 15 minutes.

An Eagles insider said: "The show at Hampden will be phenomenal.

"The band have always loved playing to their Scottish fans and appreciate the huge support.

"With the concert being on July 4, I know they will want to make it extra special. It will be the best show of the tour."

The band, who played Hampden in June 2006, plan to include a track co-written by Scots star Frankie Miller on their next album.

He suffered a brain haemorrhage in New York in 1994 and had to learn to walk and talk again.

The Eagles have included the track Guilty Of The Crime so Miller will receive royalties.
